Noemí Luz is a multidisciplinary dance maker working with traditional, contemporary & experimental flamenco as well as contemporary dance, dance theatre and performance. Through her choreographic work she looks to bring a human perspective to complex issues, centering around the environment and female identity as core themes. Noemí investigates ways of giving physical form to the intangible, embracing dance as a poetic language capable of embodying the present moment, illustrating the times we live in and addressing the issues we face. At the core of Noemí's practice is her relationship to flamenco dance and a fascination with the infinite choreographic potential it has in its tradition as well as in contemporary and experimental forms. She experiences the art form as a gateway for individual expression that offers freedom in style and personality.

Noemí trained in Seville for 6 years with her mentor Yolanda Heredia who encouraged her to develop her own aesthetic and rhythmical voice. She also specialized in bata de cola (train dress) techniques, later collaborating with Yolanda on her Bata de Cola masterclasses in Seville.

Noemí has performed in many traditional contexts and venues, among them Tablao Arenal, Casa de la Guitarra & Peña Niño de la Alfalfa in Seville, Peña la Perla de Cadiz (Cadiz) and Café Zyriab (Madrid) and on CanalSurTV as well as with a plethora of artists, including singers such as Emilio Florido, Javi Rivera & El Tremendo Hijo.
